The host team made its mark in a big way during the semifinals of the 57th annual Great Lakes Invitational on Thursday. However, things were not looking good for Michigan Tech, who met with the Alaska Nanooks, a program making its GLI debut, in the first semifinal.
The Nanooks are traveling to Michigan for games in the Great Lakes Invitational (GLI) for the first time in program history. Other teams at the event include Michigan Technological University, Ferris State University and Michigan State University.
On Thursday and Friday hockey fans in Upper Michigan can watch the Great Lakes Invitational, featuring the Michigan Tech Huskies, on local television.
